Privacy Policy

Overview

Music Widget is a browser extension and web service developed by Great Art Studio. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the extension collects, how it is used, and your rights.

What Data We Collect

The Music Widget extension collects only the following data from the Spotify Web Player when it is open in your browser:

• Song title
• Artist name(s)
• Album artwork URL
• Playback progress and duration
• Play/pause state

This data is read directly from the page you are viewing. The extension does not access your Spotify account, credentials, listening history, playlists, or any personal information.

Widget Key

When you install the extension, a random unique identifier (widget key) is generated locally on your device. This key is used to link your extension to your stream widget. It is not tied to your Spotify account, email, or any personal information.

How Data Is Used

The song data listed above is sent to our server (widget.greatvtubers.com) so that your streaming overlay widget can display what you are currently listening to. The data is:

• Stored temporarily in memory for a maximum of 30 seconds
• Automatically deleted when you stop sending updates (close the browser or pause)
• Never stored permanently or logged
• Never sold, shared with, or disclosed to any third party

What We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, address)
• No Spotify account credentials or tokens
• No browsing history or activity outside the Spotify Web Player
• No analytics, tracking, or telemetry
• No cookies from the extension

Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following browser permissions:

• Host access to open.spotify.com — To read the currently playing song from the Spotify Web Player page.
• Host access to widget.greatvtubers.com — To send song data to our relay server for your widget.
• Host access to streamelements.com — To provide the widget loader feature on the StreamElements overlay editor.
• Storage — To store your widget key locally on your device.

Data Retention

Song data is held in temporary server cache for at most 30 seconds and is never written to a database or permanent storage. Once the extension stops sending updates, the data expires and is gone.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store any personal data, there is nothing to delete or export. You can uninstall the extension at any time to stop all data transmission immediately.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
